I’m the co-founder and CTO of <hidden name>, a stealth AI infrastructure and compute startup.

Ahmed Fadhluddin

Previously, I was a quant researcher at Jump Trading, working on energy derivatives and helping build out its European energy trading business.

Before that, Balyasny Asset Management recruited me to apply my master’s research to trading. I worked there as a quant researcher in energy trading, in the firm’s top-performing pod during my tenure.

I have a master’s in theoretical physics from UCL and I’m a co-author of two research preprints, currently under review. During university, I interned as a quantitative researcher at Rokos Capital Management and as a theoretical chemistry researcher at the Faraday Institution.

At university, I also built and ran a fully systematic crypto statistical arbitrage strategy, owning the stack from the trading software to the physical server and self-hosted Git infrastructure. I shut it down before starting my full-time quant role.

Before university, I worked as a hardware engineer, building PCs and repairing motherboards and printed circuit boards. That included contract work supporting companies such as Man Group and Liquidnet.

I started with hardware. At 15, I built an oscilloscope from scratch, assembling the electronics and writing the Arduino/C code to make it work.

More on my research and projects.
